Camp Summersault (American Cancer Society)
Megan, Melanie, and Skye are looking forward to volunteering at the 2009 Camp Summersault in Long Beach. What an awesome way to spend part of summer vacation: making the lives of cancer patients brighter.
Last year, Jamie, Jennifer, Melanie, and Megan volunteered as camp counselors for Camp Summersault, an American Cancer Society sponsored program for pediatric cancer patients and their siblings.
The program provided these aspiring volunteers with necessary skills to guide the campers for maximum fun time. Such experiences have enriched these caring teens who deeply value the lives of kids with cancer. When asked what they liked most about the camp, they unanimously said: " the KIDS"!!!
We invite you to explore the story behind our organization, and encourage you to not only find ways to help TAC but other cancer related organizations as well. With our collective effort, we are hopeful that a cure for many forms of cancers will be found in our lifetime.
